The new Ingres of the Louvre
3 Comments Published by Cedric Benetti on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2/21/2010 08:26:00 PM.An all-new Ingres painting, acquired by the Louvre with the help of the Amis du Louvre among other donors, found its place in the collections of 19th century French painting galleries since last November. The portrait depicts the Count Mathieu-Louis Molé, and dates from 1834.
We all love a good Ingres portrait. So much photorealism.
