FIAC Report 2009: COUR CARREE
2 Comments Published by Cedric Benetti on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 10/22/2009 10:21:00 AM.Each year, a few weeks only after the Fashion Week circus has left town, the Art Week circus comes rumbling into Paris, filling up the palaces and the galleries, the ephemeral spaces, and even the Tuileries gardens.
This year, Paris2e brings you almost live coverage, with a special picture report on the vernissage night of the 21st October. High heels, champagne, thickly rimmed glasses and confused visitors.
If you find yourself standing in front of some contraption and think "wow, this looks interesting", one moment later some cleaning service guy shows up and starts picking up the pile of trash someone left on the floor, which you obviously mistook for someone's beloved art-brainchild.

So get ready to look at tons of photo impressions, not only of the art and the people, but also of the non-art. An abandoned umbrella or an electrical cord in a corner can turn as easily into art as stacked trashcans or abandoned shoes. Art is anything you want it to be, so just use your imagination.
Enjoy!
(this will be PART 1, with an emphasis on the Cour Carrée, the more innovative and ground breaking galeries. The Grand Palais with the caviar crowd will be delivered to you later today, for more viewing pleasure. Stay online!)

Those are some very fascinating photographs from Part I. I will look
