Ah, isn't it fun to finally have the ToP's back here again?
Especially with such a noble shot of the venerable cour carrée of the Louvre...and it's street toilet attitude. They were actually setting up the enormous tent structure in which in the coming weeks, fashions shows will happen, followed by the Fiac, on which I will try to report, as I did almost every year so far.

VOGUE PARIS FASHION NIGHT: An Evening with Karl and Carine

A big global event. A big fashion party. A big rush on Avenue Montaigne all evening. Vogue kicked off its Fashion Celebrations everywhere around the globe and the fashionistas came to meet the players and deciders.
In Paris, the party was a huge success, with thousands of people flocking to the Triangle d'Or with Rue François Ier and Avenue George V, but with the main focus on Avenue Montaigne, the biggest luxury brands street of the capital. Every store on the avenue was celebrating fashion, handing out drinks and treats, preparing live music events, such as the tribute to Michael Jackson at Diane von Furstenberg.

One of the highlights obviously was the Chanel store on Avenue Montaigne, where at one moment the crowds had to be contained when rumors spread that Karl Lagerfeld was holding court inside.
Karl did not stay for an eternity inside, since today was also his birthday, he may have had other things to do than to meet hysteric fans. He finally made it outside into the avenue in order to board his Hummer and make his way back home. Good luck I was at the right moment at the right time.

Many designers and influential people from the fashion industry roamed the halls of the Dior Flagship store, where Carine Roitfeld, editor in chief of the French Vogue arrived earlier this evening, talking to the people and greeting friends.
