Meet me under the Eiffel Tower on the 5th of July!
3 Comments Published by Cedric Benetti on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 6/19/2009 08:45:00 PM.You remember the video I posted of all those happy Brits singing 'Hey Jude' on Trafalgar Square in London?
Well, get lost, dear Entente Cordiale, because the French apparently took this as a call to defeat the British neighbours in a battle of the public-squared masses by packing much more than 13500 people in one big public space.
Thus, the French call plans on gathering as many jolly happy frenchmen on the Champs de Mars and underneath the Eiffel Tower for a gigantic singing extravaganza.
So for those of you who wish to take part in this 'improvised and spontaneous' event, get your butt over to the grassy Mars fields on the 5th of July at precisely 4PM, and don't forget to tell your neighbours! Yahoo will be sponsoring the event and make sure it doesn't turn into a logistical nightmare. And for every person present, Yahoo has made the promise to donate ten Euros to a charity organisation, and many French media stations have already announced to be present and to cover the event live.
Unfortunately I won't be present that day, for reasons that lie beyond the Atlantic Ocean, but I will try my best to cover the event from afar.

NYC? This looks fun.
Bonjour! Cedric,
Cela semble très excitant!
Merci!

I thought the Trafalgar Square thing was just for the T Mobile advert?!?
