Good traditional food at low prices? And in a nice setting? And in the middle of Paris? Are you kidding me? Nope. It exists. Fans of the traditional brasserie, but scared of brasserie prices come all running to Chartier, but not only them.
There seems to be something more to this place. A mix of everyday diners, locals and tourists fill up the huge dining halls here, and they all seem at home. Since its opening in 1896 this place has been feeding the people, or as they put it "fifty million bellies have been filled here".

The only thing that changed here since the opening was the menu.
Does this place remind you of a train station interior?
In these little cases, the restaurants regular clients stored their own napkins in the olden days.

mind asking, how cheap the foods? I'm a Malaysian and maybe 2 franc is cheap enough. 1 franc equal to 3++Malaysian Ringgit.

okay. i see the prices and that's cheap!lol :D
