Striking Vendôme

What a beautiful day for a big strike! Especially when it hits on one of the poshest areas of Paris: Rue de la Paix, leading to Place Vendôme (Ironically, Rue de la Paix translates into 'Peace street', something you would not really be able to find here this early evening)
I don*t really know on what this protest was focused. All I know is next week, Paris will be hit once again by a major strike in public transports. Happy days lie ahead of us....
For now, enjoy a picture report on an exceptionally empty Place Vendôme, where even the Hôtel Ritz seemed to have been shut down. Finally a great opportunity to approach the Vendôme Column, usually surrounded by heavy traffic!
